Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter.
